About Your United Way

United Way of Mason County is independent and governed by a local volunteer Board of Directors. It is one of approximately 1,350 United Way organizations across the nation. Given the diversity of communities, each United Way determines what areas to direct its resources towards.

Your United Way is dedicated to improving the lives of people in Mason County by:

• Involving the community in identifying its most serious problems.
• Working with a broad range of individuals, businesses and organizations to achieve identified outcomes.
• Committing financial and human resources toward addressing the underlying causes of problems.
  
• Responding to new community issues.
• Creating sustained changes in identified community conditions.
