211 Information and Referral Program - Get Connected...Get Answers
United Way of Mason County and other organizations have formed a partnership to provide a centralized location for area residents to access health and human services. This service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. It's simple...just dial the number 2-1-1 or go on the website at www.call-211.org. Tracfone and pay phone users need to dial 1-877-211-5253.
Individuals will be greeted by a trained call specialist that will assist them in finding the help they need. The Call Center has a very extensive database of available programs and services located in Mason County, as well as, regionally, state wide and nationally.
During the 2011/2012 fiscal year, 3.5% of the Mason County population called the number 2-1-1 to and approximately 85% of the time the caller was able to be referred to the needed service. The majority of the services requested include: housing and utilities, information services, healthcare, income and support and food and meals.

- Mason Lake Intermediate School District
- Michigan Works West Centeral
- United Way of Mason County
